our house is lacking a little in the landscaping department. gardening is a whole new world to me so it’s been VERY overwhelming! i really want to love it, but don’t know what i’m doing. yet! i’ve been trying to just focus on one area at a time.

the very first thing we planted were the arborvitae next to the steps. there were some holly already there, but it needed something more to fill out. i also threw the little boxwoods in the planters… just for now. this is not much, but it already makes a huge difference. the rate we’re going the backyard will not get touched until next year!

the wire planters are from the country living collection at kmart. the stands are from old architectural columns and were given to me. if you like that sort of thing, you might be able to find them at an antique store.
